Flag Friends began when a determined seven-year-old second-grader named Bella decided she was done watching her Dad's flags twist themselves into windy pretzels. A simple annoyance turned into her mission: create an anti-tangle, never-wraps-again, wind-defying, flag-super-stabilizer that's sturdy, reliable, and actually affordable.
Have you ever had your flag wrap around the pole? At her Dad's arts center, it was happening constantly with all four flags, and it was driving them absolutely bonkers.
When Bella's Dad looked for solutions, the fancy metal rods were over $70, and the plastic versions started around $20 and broke far too easily. Not exactly practical for a small nonprofit. So Bella, fueled by curiosity, confidence, and her signature entrepreneurial spark, set out (with Dad's help) to build something better.
After lots of testing and redesigning, Flag Friend was born—a rigid anti-tangle stabilizer made from rust-resistant materials. It stops your flag from tangling 100% of the time, is nearly impossible to break, and installs in about a minute with a standard Phillips-head screwdriver.
Bella sells each Flag Friend for $15. After gifting one to her grandparents—both Air Force veterans—she decided she wanted to give even more. Now, for every five Flag Friends sold, she plans to donate one to a veteran in our community.
Flag Friends work best with standard 3' x 5' flags and fit 3/4 to 1 inch poles. Bella fully assembles each one, and they come with an easy two-screw mounting bracket. Local friends can even get free installation help if needed.
